ORIA joins forces with Theogonia Records for a Dystopian Metal Odyssey!

 
Hi, metalheads! Prepare to turn up the volume because ORIA, the booming progressive groove metal behemoth from Thessaloniki, Greece, is making waves! Theogonia Records has finally put out the red carpet for these outstanding newbies, and believe me, you won't want to miss what happens next. Their sophomore album, This Future Wants Us Dead, is planned to be released on April 25, 2025. Yes, mark your calendars and clear your schedules—this will be something exceptional! It will be available globally in a slick CD digipack as well as all of the digital forms you might want.
 
After blowing us away with their debut album, Sublimation(s), in 2020, ORIA has firmly established themselves as a rising star in the metal industry. And now? They're turning it up a notch! This Future Wants Us Dead is a musical trip full of pounding riffs, complicated rhythms, and haunting melodies. Buckle up, because we're about to dive into a world on the verge of collapse.
 
Imagine a dystopian landscape in which technology advances but the environment deteriorates and social bonds fracture. Doesn't this seem like a scenario straight out of today's headlines? But hold on to your hats—amid the darkness, ORIA sends us a lifeline full of promise. Recorded by the excellent Nick Grey at Red House Music Studio, with drums painstakingly edited by Defkalion Dimos and mixing/mastering wizardry by Steve Lado in Athens, it's evident that ORIA doesn't cut corners. They are producing a sound that is both brutally heavy and astonishingly precise. Oh, and don't miss Nasia Stylidou's beautiful cover image, renowned in the art world as Decomposition.
