From the Bay Area’s gritty thrash trenches to Las Vegas’ neon chaos, Avenger of Blood has weathered more lineup shifts than a midnight poker game. Yet here they are, 20 years deep, still swinging Revenge Is My Name like a battle-axe. Talk about stubborn, eh?

Remember 2005’s Complete Annihilation? That debut slapped thrash fans awake like a defibrillator shock to the chest.. Then came Death Brigade—a riff-fueled storm wrapped in Motorhead legend Joe Petagno’s art. But just as momentum peaked, the band’s core splintered. Guitarist Marc Flores and drummer Shannon? Oh, they’ve played musical chairs with members ever since, but c’mon—this isn’t some garage hobby. These madmen spat out splits, EPs, and 2016’s On Slaying Ground like clockwork.

Now, with Sal Lalli’s razor-sharp vocals and a lineup tighter than a stage diver’s jeans, AOB isn’t just back—they’re pissed. Last year’s Completely Re-Annihilated wasn’t a nostalgia trip; it was a Molotov cocktail hurled at complacency. Sharing stages with Flotsam & Jetsam and Death Angel? Yeah, they’ve earned those stripes.

Revenge Is My Name promises five tracks of unapologetic chaos, recorded live to bottle that mosh-pit lightning. And 2026’s full-length? Already in the works. These guys don’t sleep—they headbang.
Avenger of Blood’s resilience is either admirable or unhinged. Maybe both. But in a world where thrash often feels reheated, AOB’s raw fury is a jolt of adrenaline. Catch them live before they melt your face—or your eardrums.
