Oy, metalheads! Strap in! Poland’s rabid riff-manglers DESPIZER are back, and they ain’t messing around. Their third studio slab, Krew (that’s "Blood"), hits CD on June 27, 2025. Trust me, if you’ve ever blasted Skitsystem or Martyrdöd till your neighbors wept, this? Chef’s kiss. Pure aural carnage.
Born in 2013 from the twisted minds of Wilk and Rasz (ex-Deathlust/Persecutor), these Pabianice madmen wanted raw, Swedish Wolfpack-meets-Doom savagery. Then came vocalist Tomasz and drummer Paweł ; the sound evolved. Thrash? Black metal? D-beat chaos? All tossed in a blender. Imagine a brick to the face... but musical.
Life threw curveballs: pandemics, lineup shuffles (hey, Radek on bass now!), but 2024 saw ’em storm the studio. Krew? It’s Pogarda’s angrier twin. Darker. Meaner. The band calls it "about dying, not by choice, but necessity. Souls burned out, bodies moving from habit." Grim stuff, huh? Makes Game of Thrones look like teatime.
Produced by Paweł Drozd (Doomster Reich) and mastered by Marcin Sosnowski, the album’s wrapped in Martyna Ciupka’s nightmarish art. Layout? Fabian Filiks nailed it.
Holy hell, this ain’t background noise. Krew’s a primal scream for the broken—a soundtrack for when the world feels godless. That raw loyalty in Hard To Explain’s "Wolves"? Here, it’s twisted into survivalist fury. DESPIZER doesn’t just play metal; they bleed it. Grab a copy... if you dare.
