Fate of Faith's "Undertow": Swiss Prog-Metal That'll Drag You Under!

Hey, metal fam! Remember those Swiss wizards Fate of Faith? Well, buckle the hell up, they’re back and not pulling punches. Their animated vid for “Undertow” just dropped, and it’s a full-blown mind trip. Seriously. These dudes, Jonas (guitar/vox), Noah (guitar/vox), Patrick (drums), and Raphael (bass/vox) have been tearing up stages since 2018. From sweaty Liechtenstein pubs to full-on Euro festivals? That’s one hell of a journey.

Musically, they walk a tightrope between chaos and clarity. Their latest EP …till death do us part ain’t just prog-metal: It’s therapy with distortion pedals. "Undertow" hits like a freight train underwater: heavy, murky, emotional as hell. Gritty riffs? Check. Atmospheric breaks? You bet. Vocals that shift from snarls to soul? Oh yeah.

Lyrically? These guys don’t mess around. Identity, pain, mental spirals: It’s all in there. Every line feels like it was ripped out of someone’s journal. And live? It’s a full-body experience. Think: moshing while having an existential crisis. Sounds weird. Feels amazing.

Fun fact: Fate of Faith almost didn’t exist. Jonas was ready to quit music, booked one final show... and the crowd blew the roof off. Flash-forward: 14 gigs in 2019, lineup changes, pandemic chaos: Nothing stopped ’em. Now, with this new chapter, they’ve evolved into something kinda magical.

“Undertow” doesn’t ask permission ; it grabs you by the heart and drags you through the depths. Heavy, haunting, and weirdly beautiful. Don’t sleep on this band.
