Müntrails' "Heretic Eyes": A Gothy Trip You Won't Shake Off

Spain’s shadow-weavers Müntrails have just unleashed their lyric video for "Heretic Eyes," and it’s like getting lost in a dream you never quite wake up from. Pulled from their album The Cenobite Tapes (out now via Wormholedeath Records), this track oozes melancholy, mystery, and moody grandeur. Imagine Joy Division slow-dancing with early Depeche Mode in a candlelit crypt. Yeah, it’s that kinda vibe.

The song creeps in with foggy synths, slow-burning guitars, and Dibasson’s vocals, equal parts lament and prayer. "Heretic Eyes" isn’t just a song: It’s a confessional in motion, soundtracking your deepest, strangest 3 a.m. thoughts. It hits like déjà vu wrapped in velvet darkness. Eerie? Definitely. Beautiful? Also, yes.

Müntrails formed in 2022 and wasted zero time. After a trilogy of EPs in 2024, they dropped this full-length beast in 2025, not quite a concept album, but man does it flow like one. From Zennon’s spectral keys to Shevek’s echo-heavy drums, every detail feels handcrafted to haunt.

"Heretic Eyes" sticks to your skin like cold rain on stone. It’s moody, magnetic, and hella replayable. If you’re into bands that sound like they’ve seen ghosts and maybe kissed one, this is your jam.
