Upcoming Release: Benefactor Decease
Benefactor Decease - Abnormal Attachments : Ten Years in the Making, No Mercy Given
Let’s talk about a band that didn’t just take their time, they earned it.
Benefactor Decease, the Greek technical thrash crew from Athens, were formed back in 2007 by a tight group of friends who loved the old-school grind of Kreator , Slayer , and Exodus, but with brains behind the brutality. After some early demos and a split with Serbian thrashers Nadimac, they disappeared for years due to internal struggles. But now? They’re back, louder than ever, and ready to make up for lost time.
Their first album, Anatomy of an Angel, came out in 2015 via Xtreem Music, after more delays than a government meeting. Now, ten long years later, they’ve unleashed Abnormal Attachments, their second full-length and easily their most aggressive, complex, and focused work yet.
This is not your average comeback record. It’s a statement. A punch to the gut wrapped in speed, precision, and riffs so sharp they cut through nostalgia like a chainsaw. The new line-up has clearly sharpened their sound, blending vintage thrash with modern, proggy structures. If you dig bands that can switch between chaos and control in one breath, this one’s for you.
Honestly, I respect the hell out of a band that doesn’t quit. That waits, refines, and comes back even heavier. Abnormal Attachments isn’t just music: it’s a mission.
So go listen. Go rage. And remember: sometimes the best albums are the ones that took too long to come out.
