Harvested - "The Infestation"

Upcoming Release: Harvested

Harvested's Raw Nerve: Mental Health Meets Metal Mayhem!

Ottawa’s death metal titans Harvested just unveiled their lyric video for "The Infestation" and damn, it hits hard. Their album Dysthymia, set for release on August 1, 2025, isn’t just a riff fest: it’s a dark, deep dive into the chaos of mental health. Vocalist Adam Semler doesn’t mince words: "We saved our best track for last. It’s brutal, political, and asks: what happens when psychopaths run the world?" Strikes right at the heart, doesn’t it?

Inspired by horror films and loved ones’ struggles, the band swaps gore for psychological intensity. Imagine Cannibal Corpse fused with Dying Fetus, but with a Canadian twist: technical brutality blended with slam ferocity. "The Infestation" runs 4:36, their longest track yet, and it absolutely shreds. Early reactions? Critics praise its "cathartic" vibe and call it "perfect for our chaotic times."

I’m hyped. Harvested’s raw honesty about mental struggles? Reinvigorating. In a scene often obsessed with shock value, they scream truth. Pre-order Dysthymia: it’s therapy with blast beats.
