Let’s take a trip back to 1982, when a bunch of wild kids from Noordwijk, South Holland, started something very loud. We’re talking about MassattacK , the Dutch band that mixed heavy metal with punk energy and just enough madness to make them unforgettable.
Back in ’85, they recorded an 11-track demo that was pure chaos with a melody. Think fast riffs, unhinged vocals, and lyrics that made you question your life choices. Their single “Suicide” even got the nod as “Demo of the Week” on Vuurwerk, one of the biggest Dutch metal shows at the time. Not bad for a bunch of teenagers with more attitude than amps.
They played their first show ever at SCUM in Katwijk, and let me tell ya, it was probably the loudest thing anyone had heard since a chainsaw jam session. They split up in ’88, but not before leaving behind some unreleased tracks and a cult-like local following.
Now, 40 years later, thanks to Headbangers Records and Big Bad Wolf Records , their original Demo 1985 is finally seeing the light of day on CD. And if that wasn’t enough, someone made a full AI video using old photos, check it out here:
It’s like finding a lost treasure in your grandma’s attic… except this one plays faster and screams louder.

Honestly, I love stuff like this. Bands that didn’t wait for permission, didn’t care what trends said, just grabbed guitars and screamed into the void. That’s the real deal.
