Hey there, metalheads! Ever heard of a band that went from schoolyard dreams to full-blown legends, only to vanish and then come back like phoenixes from the ashes? Well, meet Tales of Destiny, Canadian Power Metal crew with more heart than a thousand pyrotechnic shows.
Back in the mid-’90s, five kids from Beaupré, just outside Quebec City, got it in their heads that they could make music as heavy and melodic as Iron Maiden or Iced Earth. With nothing but passion, a couple of amps, and probably some questionable haircuts, they started rocking out in their old parish’s stone walls. Fast forward 30 years… yeah, time flies, doesn’t it?
After taking a long break, long enough for some of them to forget how to play their own songs, they reunited, still burning with that same fire. And what did they do? They’re about to drop something special: their new album Ashes of Destiny , coming out on September 26, 2025 . That’s right, it’s not out yet, but you can already get hyped. This one’s a love letter to everything they’ve been through since 1995. Old tracks, fresh takes, and plenty of riffs that’ll make you want to headbang.
Their sound? Picture Power Metal’s sweet melodies wrapped in Thrash’s raw punch. You know, like if Iron Maiden had a little chat with Children of Bodom over coffee and decided to jam instead of argue. The result? A sound that’s totally unique: youthful yet wise, classic yet brand-new.
This isn’t just an album, it’s a story. One of friendship, resilience, and never giving up on your dreams. Even when life gets in the way. Especially when it does.
