It’s time to talk about Woodhawk , the Calgary stoner groove trio that just dropped their third album “Love Finds a Way” , and they’re hitting the road across Canada this summer. Yeah, you read that right: this one means business.
After five long years in the making, this new record is more than just an album. It’s a raw, honest, emotional journey through darkness and healing. The guys, Turner Midzain (guitar/vocals), Mike Badmington (bass/vocals), and Kevin Nelson (drums) poured every bit of struggle, growth, and heart into it. And if you ask me? It shows.
From thunderous riffs to soft, soul-baring moments, “Love Finds a Way” has everything. Think The Sword meets Thin Lizzy , with a dash of Red Fang . It’s heavy when it needs to be, but also tender enough to make you pause and think. The track “Killing Time” alone is worth the listen: beautifully written, emotionally charged, and dripping with truth.
