Chaos to Silence: Blood and Brutality’s Wrath is Coming

Alright, metalheads. The wait’s over. Blood and Brutality, the Birmingham trio who’ve been churning out righteous, no-bullshit death/thrash since 2008, just dropped “Chaos to Silence,” a blistering single that slams like a piston in a coffin. And yes, it’s from their new EP Wrath Upon, set for release on October 1st, 2025.
No fancy metaphors, no overcooked promises. Just six tracks of tight, aggressive riffs, guttural vocals that sound like they’re being torn from a broken throat, and drums that hit with the precision of a hammer on an anvil. It’s not innovation for its own sake, it’s the sound of a band that’s played these songs live enough times to know exactly how they should bleed.
You can feel the sweat, the distortion, the rawness, like hearing a demo tape you found under a stage in 2013, only this one’s polished without losing its teeth. There’s a certain weight to the music here, a heaviness that doesn’t rely on clichés or speed alone. Tracks like “March Towards Destiny” and “Never Surrender” have a real momentum, like a freight train with a grudge.
And let’s talk about “F*ck You.” Not a gimmick. A statement. That title isn’t there to shock, it’s there because it fits. Because sometimes, the best response to noise is noise louder.
This isn’t some retro revival act either. While nods to old-school USDM (think early Sepultura meets Possessed) are clear, the band aren’t stuck in a time capsule. They’re building something present: urgent, unapologetic, alive.
If you’re into bands that don’t need to scream “I’m extreme!” to prove it, if you prefer your metal with rhythm, purpose, and a bit of dirt under the nails… then Wrath Upon might be your next obsession.
