What's New: SELIAS
SELIAS Unleash “Bullets”: A Death Metal Haymaker with a Side of Existential Dread
Canada’s SELIAS aren’t here to play nice. Their new single “Bullets” lands like a sledgehammer wrapped in barbed wire: no frills, no mercy, just that sweet spot where melodeath meets cinematic brutality. Think In Flames’s groove meets Rammstein’s theatrical punch, but with a knife twist of modern urgency. The track’s fight-culture inspiration isn’t just posturing; it’s a sonic brawl, where the riffs hit like body blows and the keys lurk like a fog over the ring. Atmospheric? Sure. But don’t let the mood fool you: this one’s got teeth.
KILLKARMA, their upcoming album (out November 7 via Wormholedeath), promises more of this: a record that balances melodic death metal’s precision with something darker, almost Manson-esque in its swagger. “Bullets” is the first warning shot, and if the rest of KILLKARMA packs this much venom, we’re in for a treat.
Ontario Onslaught Tour: Where the Riffs Hit Harder Than the Winter
SELIAS are taking this show on the road, and if you’re in Ontario, you’ve got no excuse to miss it. Six dates, six chances to witness their live assault, where new cuts from KILLKARMA will rub shoulders with old favorites. Intimate venues mean no hiding: just sweat, steel, and that rare moment when a band actually sounds heavier live than on record.

SELIAS could’ve phoned in another “brutal” single and called it a day. Instead, “Bullets” feels like a statement: this is death metal with a pulse. The production’s sharp, the hooks are there, and, refreshingly, there’s not a whiff of the “revolutionary” hype that clogs up the genre. Just a band doing what they do best, better.
Now, about that album title… KILLKARMA? Either it’s a nod to the cyclic violence in their lyrics, or they just really love Mortal Kombat. Either way, we’re listening.
