DOOMSDAY DELIGHT: DANAKIL HEAT'S FUZZY, FIERY ESCAPE FROM THE END TIMES

Helsinki's Danakil Heat are back, and they've traded in their survival blankets for a six-string bonfire. Their new EP, Doomsday Delight, was released September 26th, and it's a masterclass in how to stare down the apocalypse with a smirk and a riff so thick it could double as a life raft.
Three tracks, zero filler. Doomsday Delight, One More Life, and Searching the Stars are a high-octane cocktail of stoner groove, garage punk grit, and just enough doom-laden fuzz to remind you the world's still burning, while you dance in the ashes.
The band calls it "apocalyptic optimism," and honestly? It's the only kind of optimism that makes sense in 2025. Imagine Kyuss jamming with The Stooges in a bunker, and you're halfway there.
Lyrically, Danakil Heat aren't here to sugarcoat. Dystopian futures, cosmic daydreams, and the stubborn refusal to go quietly into the void, it's all there, wrapped in a sound that's as urgent as it is uplifting.
The EP's title track is a particular standout, a fuzzed-out anthem for anyone who's ever wanted to flip the bird at the sky while humming along.
This EP is real, it's raw, and it's got more heart than half the bands drowning in their own hype. If Back to the Fire was the spark, Doomsday Delight is the wildfire.
Stream it, crank it, and remember: the end times never sounded this good.
