CRUEL BOMB - Self-Titled LP: The Thrash Revival We Didn’t Know We Needed (But Deserved)

Alright, yeah, I already talked about Cruel Bomb back in September, just like I did with Atomizator, but you know what? When it's this good, it's damn well worth a second round. \m/

Wilkes-Barre’s own Cruel Bomb are finally dropping their self-titled debut, and honestly? August 15, 2025, circle it, set a reminder, because this isn't just another album. It's a full-on thrash resurrection, the kind that makes you wanna dig out your old battle vest and start a pit in your living room.

Since 2018, these guys have been grinding away, sharpening their sound with EPs like Manhattan Mischief and Trinity Terror. But this? This is the real deal. Recorded at Novro Studios, the album's a love letter to the golden age of thrash, Slayer's chaos, Anthrax's groove, Exodus' bite, while dragging it kicking and screaming into 2025. And let's be real, the fact that Ed Repka (yes, that Ed Repka) did the cover art? That's the kind of metal pedigree that makes you sit up and take notice.

The tracks hit like a sledgehammer wrapped in barbed wire: politically charged, groove-heavy, and relentless. If you've ever moshed to Power Trip or Hatebreed, you'll get it instantly. And live? These guys are brutal. They've shared stages with some of the heaviest hitters out there, and now they're ready to level the whole damn scene.

So yeah, give it a listen if you've got the guts. This isn't just another album, it's a statement. And honestly, the underground's been waiting for something this raw.
