Alright, so Obelisk Polaris dropped this bomb back in November, but fuck me sideways if this thing isn’t still rotting in my skull like some cursed relic. These lunatics (Bardo Thodol, duh) welded Italian horror and Swedish doom into this rough-beautiful thing that’s been leaking black smoke from my speakers for a month straight. Ginevra’s vocals? Still creeping up my spine like a pissed-off poltergeist.

Bon, alors Obelisk Polaris a lâché cette bombe en novembre, mais putain si ce truc n’est toujours pas en train de pourrir dans mon crâne comme une relique maudite. Ces cinglés (Bardo Thodol, évidemment) ont soudé l’horreur italienne et le doom suédois dans cette chose rugueuse-belle qui dégage de la fumée noire de mes haut-parleurs depuis un mois. Les voix de Ginevra ? Elles remontent toujours le long de ma colonne vertébrale comme un poltergeist énervé.

POST-RELEASE TRUTH BOMBS:
- Queen of the Nile still murders hangovers. That riff? Surgical.
- Castle of the Winds at 6:13? Yeah, turns out doom does get heavier with time. Who knew.
- Those 3 bonus tracks finally surfaced, turns out they’re the audio equivalent of digging up a desecrated grave. Worth it.

BOMBES DE VÉRITÉ POST-SORTIE :
- Queen of the Nile tue toujours les gueules de bois. Ce riff ? Chirurgical.
- Castle of the Winds à 6:13 ? Ouais, apparemment le doom devient plus lourd avec le temps. Qui l’eut cru.
- Ces 3 morceaux bonus ont finalement refait surface, et il s’avère qu’ils sont l’équivalent audio de l’exhumation d’une tombe profanée. Ça valait le coup.
