Courage, purity, all that mythic stuff... but not in a cheesy way, more like that weird moment at 2 AM when you suddenly start questioning everything and the shadows look a bit too alive. Jackson’s obsession with horror and fantasy is all over this track, not subtle, but honestly that’s the charm. Mark Haze’s production is tight, almost too tight, but it keeps the whole thing from drifting into cartoon territory. And that synth bass under the riff? Pure 80s “I probably shouldn’t love this but I do” energy.

Et cette cloche ? Elle ne sonne pas, elle rôde. Comme pour murmurer : « Attention, les choses vont virer au bizarre. » Le thème s’inscrit dans la grande tradition du drame gothique : une femme qui devient son propre Van Helsing face à ses démons intérieurs. Courage, pureté, mythe… mais sans mièvrerie. Plutôt ce genre de moment, à 2h du mat’, où le doute te bouffe et où les ombres prennent des formes inquiétantes. L’obsession de Jackson pour l’horreur et la fantasy imprègne chaque note, sans subtilité, certes, mais c’est justement ce qui fait son charme. La production de Mark Haze est ciselée, presque trop, mais elle évite au morceau de sombrer dans la caricature. Quant à cette ligne de basse synthétique sous le riff ? Du pur esprit 80’s : « je ne devrais pas aimer ça… mais j’adore ».
