Polish stoner metal lifers. The real kind. CORRUPTION have been crawling out of busted amps and smoky clubs since the early ’90s and they’re still here. Eight studio albums, EPs, a DVD, decades on the road. You don’t last that long playing it safe. You just don’t.

Les vétérans polonais du stoner metal. Les vrais. CORRUPTION sortent des amplis explosés et des clubs enfumés depuis le début des années 90 et ils sont toujours là. Huit albums, des EP, un DVD, et des décennies sur la route. On ne tient pas aussi longtemps en jouant la sécurité. Impossible.

They’ve shared stages with Motörhead, Mastodon, Deep Purple, Behemoth, Down, Orange Goblin and many more. Festivals? Wacken, Pol’and’Rock, Metalmania, Sonisphere. Big stages, loud nights, zero compromise. Sweat, feedback, ringing ears, that smell of hot tubes. Yeah, that one.

Ils ont partagé la scène avec Motörhead, Mastodon, Deep Purple, Behemoth, Down, Orange Goblin et bien d’autres. Côté festivals : Wacken, Pol’and’Rock, Metalmania, Sonisphere. De grandes scènes, des nuits bruyantes, aucun compromis. De la sueur, du larsen, des oreilles qui sifflent, et cette odeur de lampes brûlantes. Oui, celle‑là.

Sound‑wise, it’s groove‑first stoner metal with dirty blues veins underneath. Sabbath ghosts everywhere, desert dust in the riffs, that heavy Polish grit that doesn’t care about trends. CORRUPTION don’t clean things up. They dig deeper. Sometimes it drags, sometimes it hits hard, but it always feels human.

Sonorement, c’est du stoner metal centré sur le groove avec des veines de blues sale qui roulent dessous. Des fantômes de Sabbath partout, de la poussière du désert dans les riffs, ce grain polonais lourd qui se moque des modes. CORRUPTION ne polit rien : ils creusent plus profond. Parfois lent, parfois percutant, mais toujours humain.

Back in 2011, their album “Bourbon River Bank” earned a Fryderyk Award nomination (Metal Album of the Year). Not bad for a band this raw and Zakk Wylde himself once pushed their single “Born to be Zakk Wylde”. That actually happened.

En 2011, leur album « Bourbon River Bank » a décroché une nomination aux Fryderyk Awards (Album metal de l’année). Pas mal pour un groupe aussi brut ! Et, oui : Zakk Wylde en personne a soutenu leur single « Born to be Zakk Wylde ». C’est arrivé pour de vrai.

Fast forward to 2024: after the “Road Kill” EP in 2023 (covers + originals), singer Rafał “Rufus” Trela made his return on October 24 2024, the same day the band dropped “To Hell’n’Back”. Felt like unfinished business finally getting loud again.

Avançons jusqu’en 2024 : après l’EP « Road Kill » (2023), mélange de reprises et d’inédits, le chanteur Rafał “Rufus” Trela fait son grand retour le 24 octobre 2024, le jour même où le groupe sort « To Hell’n’Back ». Comme si une affaire inachevée reprenait enfin vie, plus forte que jamais.

And now: no future‑tense talk “Tequila Songs & Desert Winds” is OUT. Released October 3 2025, it sounds like CORRUPTION doing what they do best: heavy, dusty, unapologetic. I’m nodding my head while writing this. Probably missed a comma.

Et maintenant, pas de futur hypothétique « Tequila Songs & Desert Winds » est SORTI ! Paru le 3 octobre 2025, il sonne comme le pur esprit de CORRUPTION : lourd, poussiéreux, sans excuses. Je hoche la tête en écrivant ça… et j’ai probablement raté une virgule.
