VANCOUVER JUST SENT A DEATH METAL WRECKING BALL AND IT'S CALLED GRAVEMASS

Ok I need to talk about this. Right now. Gravemass. Vancouver. Debut album "This Is the Way" dropping March 6th on End Game Records and the title track video just landed with live footage from Armstrong Metal Fest 2025 and it's... yeah. It's exactly what it looks like. Brutal, fast, dark, no apologies.

Ok faut que je parle de ça. Tout de suite. Gravemass. Vancouver. Premier album « This Is the Way » qui sort le 6 mars chez End Game Records et le clip du titre track vient de tomber avec des images live d’Armstrong Metal Fest 2025 et… ouais. C’est exactement ce que ça a l’air. Brutal, rapide, sombre, sans excuses.

The lineup reads like a West Coast metal hall of fame honestly: members of Zimmers Hole, 3 Inches of Blood, Revocation, The Golers... these people have decades of riffs between them and it shows. The whole thing was written fast, instinctive, riffs first lyrics second, and you feel that rawness in every track. 29 minutes of pure damage. No fat, no filler. "Spitting Hell" is 2 minutes 7 seconds. TWO MINUTES. I respect that enormously. Slayer, Venom, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death in the bloodstream... ok this riff in "This Is The Way" is genuinely making my neck hurt and I'm not complaining. Lord Heathen's vocals go from guttural low-end growl to this nasal screech that just cuts through everything. Live it must be absolutely unhinged.

Le line-up ressemble à un hall of fame West Coast : membres de Zimmers Hole, 3 Inches of Blood, Revocation, The Golers… des décennies de riffs entre eux et ça s’entend. Tout écrit vite, instinctif, riffs d’abord paroles après, et tu sens cette rawness sur chaque piste. 29 minutes de pure dévastation. Pas de gras, pas de remplissage. « Spitting Hell » fait 2 minutes 7. DEUX MINUTES. Respect énorme. Slayer, Venom, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death dans le sang… ok ce riff dans « This Is The Way » me fait vraiment mal au cou et je me plains pas. Les vocaux de Lord Heathen passent de growl bas guttural à ce screech nasal qui perce tout. Live ça doit être complètement déchaîné.

Second album already in early writing stages apparently. Good. Keep going. Go watch the video, then go watch "Fallen" and "Spitting Hell" and "Slaves to Pain" because you have no good reason not to.

Deuxième album déjà en early writing apparemment. Bien. Continuez comme ça. Va regarder le clip, puis enchaîne sur « Fallen », « Spitting Hell » et « Slaves to Pain » parce que t’as aucune bonne raison de pas le faire.
