Symphress just dropped “Cerc Imperfect” right in the middle of the night. Bad timing. Or perfect timing, depends.

Symphress vient de sortir "Cerc Imperfect" en pleine nuit. Mauvais timing. Ou timing parfait, ça dépend.

Progressive / symphonic metal from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. But not the polished, shiny kind. This one breathes. It twists. It takes its time then suddenly pulls you under. Two voices weaving around each other, guitars building layers, keys hovering in the background like ghosts (yeah I hear you). Ok this chorus sticks… really sticks.

Du métal progressif / symphonique de Cluj-Napoca, Roumanie. Mais pas le genre poli, brillant. Celui-ci respire. Il se tord. Il prend son temps puis soudain vous aspire. Deux voix qui s’entrelacent, des guitares qui construisent des couches, des claviers qui planent en arrière-plan comme des fantômes (ouais je t’entends). Ok ce refrain reste… vraiment.

Recorded at The Music Lab in Cluj-Napoca, mixed and mastered by Cornel Olar, and it shows. The sound is deep but not sterile. Emotional, a bit tense, never overdone. You can feel that prog-rock opera DNA from Father Time ; Part I, but “Cerc Imperfect” feels more fragile somehow. More human. Less armor.

Enregistré au The Music Lab à Cluj-Napoca, mixé et masterisé par Cornel Olar, et ça se voit. Le son est profond mais pas stérile. Émotionnel, un peu tendu, jamais exagéré. On sent ce patrimoine d’opéra rock progressif de Father Time ; Part I, mais "Cerc Imperfect" semble plus fragile d’une certaine façon. Plus humain. Moins blindé.

Symphress started as an acoustic thing back in 2015 and yeah, you still hear that sensitivity under the metal weight. They know when to push, when to pull back. Not everyone does. Brief moment where I just closed my eyes, forgot to type… sorry, riff got me.

Symphress a commencé comme un truc acoustique en 2015 et ouais, on entend encore cette sensibilité sous le poids du métal. Ils savent quand pousser, quand reculer. Tout le monde ne le fait pas. Bref moment où j’ai juste fermé les yeux, oublié d’écrire… désolé, le riff m’a eu.

I don’t know if this track wants to comfort you or challenge you. Maybe both. And honestly that’s why it works.

Je ne sais pas si ce morceau veut vous réconforter ou vous défier. Peut-être les deux. Et honnêtement, c’est pour ça que ça marche.
