Thailand's hardcore scene has been throwing some serious weight around lately, and CHAINFIGHT is exactly why you should be paying attention. Their new release, E.P.II, just dropped today via Inhuman Assault Productions, and it's a lean, mean reminder of why we fell in love with the early 2000s sound in the first place.

Leur nouvelle sortie, E.P.II, vient de paraître via Inhuman Assault Productions, et c'est un rappel sec et méchant de pourquoi nous sommes tombés amoureux du son du début des années 2000.

What I dig about these guys is the pedigree. Twish and Pratchaya started this in 2023 specifically to pivot away from their older metal projects and get back to that raw, old-school aggression. You can really hear that transition: it's got the crushing weight of metal but the frantic, "stagedive-ready" energy of classic hardcore. If you grew up on a steady diet of Terror, Hatebreed, or Throwdown, this is going to feel like home.

Ce que j'aime chez ces gars, c'est le pedigree. Twish et Pratchaya ont lancé ça en 2023 spécifiquement pour s'éloigner de leurs anciens projets metal et revenir à cette agression brute, old-school. On entend vraiment cette transition : ça a le poids écrasant du metal mais l'énergie frénétique et prête à « stagedive » du hardcore classique. Si vous avez grandi avec Terror, Hatebreed ou Throwdown, vous serez chez vous.

Since their debut in 2024, they've been tearing up the Thai circuit, and their performance at the "Yom Ma Lok" show for Whispers last year is still being talked about. This new EP keeps that momentum going with just three tracks, but they don't waste a single second. They even sent the tracks over to Dan Klein at Iron Hand Studio in Chicago for mastering, giving it a massive, polished punch that holds its own against any international heavyweight.

Ce nouvel EP maintient cette dynamique avec seulement trois titres, mais ils ne perdent pas une seconde. Ils ont même envoyé les morceaux à Dan Klein au Iron Hand Studio à Chicago pour le mastering, ce qui lui donne un punch massif et poli qui rivalise avec n'importe quel poids lourd international.

It's fast, it's angry, and it's exactly what your Tuesday afternoon needs to get the blood moving. C'est rapide, c'est en colère, et c'est exactement ce qu'il faut à votre mardi après-midi pour faire circuler le sang.
