This record is a brutal, honest confession. Tomas Skorepa has traded typical genre tropes for a deep dive into addiction and personal decay, backed by a production from Amak Golden (Killing Joke, High on Fire) that gives the riffs a thick, claustrophobic weight. You can feel that 90s alternative influence bleeding into the thrash urgency, it adds a layer of melancholy that's rare in this scene. Having Away (Voivod) handle the cover art was a masterstroke; his jagged, dystopian style is the perfect visual for the mental wreckage explored in these nine tracks.

Tomas Skorepa a échangé les tropes typiques du genre contre une plongée profonde dans l'addiction et la déchéance personnelle, soutenue par une production d'Amak Golden (Killing Joke, High on Fire) qui donne aux riffs un poids épais et claustrophobique. On sent l'influence alternative des années 90 infuser l'urgence du thrash, ajoutant une couche de mélancolie rare dans cette scène. Avoir confié la pochette à Away (Voivod) fut un coup de maître ; son style déchiqueté et dystopien est la parfaite illustration des dégâts mentaux explorés dans ces neuf morceaux.

Musically, they aren't looking for easy answers. They're using Schopenhauer as a philosophical backbone to scream about the struggle of existence. It's raw, it's intelligent, and it feels dangerously human.

What really grabs me about this album is the evolution. The band has shared stages with legends like Napalm Death and Exodus, but on "Neurosis Unbound," they finally sound like they've stopped looking at their heroes and started looking inward. A track like "Hell in Veins" hits with that classic speed, but there's a tension underneath that just doesn't let go. It's not just a collection of riffs; it's a front-row seat to a psyche coming apart at the seams. Easily one of the most sophisticated things coming out of the Czech scene right now. \m/

Ce qui me frappe vraiment dans cet album, c'est l'évolution. Le groupe a partagé la scène avec des légendes comme Napalm Death et Exodus, mais sur « Neurosis Unbound », ils semblent enfin avoir cessé de regarder leurs héros pour se tourner vers l'intérieur. Un morceau comme « Hell in Veins » frappe avec cette vitesse classique, mais il y a une tension en dessous qui ne lâche pas. Ce n'est pas juste une collection de riffs ; c'est un siège au premier rang pour assister à une psyché qui se délite. Sans conteste l'une des choses les plus sophistiquées qui sortent de la scène tchèque en ce moment. \m/
