Rzeszów, Poland. Not exactly the first place you think of for a thriving thrash scene, especially considering how suffocatingly conservative and Catholic that region is. But that is exactly where Aborcja crawled out of in 2022. Honestly, naming your thrash band "Aborcja" in a place like that takes serious guts. Or just a complete lack of self-preservation.

Pas vraiment le premier endroit auquel on pense pour une scène thrash florissante, surtout quand on sait à quel point cette région est étouffante de conservatisme et de catholicisme. Mais c'est exactement de là qu'Aborcja a émergé en 2022. Honnêtement, nommer son groupe de thrash « Aborcja » dans un tel endroit demande un sacré cran. Ou une absence totale d'instinct de survie.
They locked in their first lineup and immediately dropped an EP called Zaburzenia. No waiting around. Predictably, the local religious groups lost their minds. The release caused enough of a mess to drag the band into legal trouble with local Catholic organizations.
Ils ont verrouillé leur première formation et ont immédiatement sorti un EP intitulé Zaburzenia. Sans attendre. Comme prévu, les groupes religieux locaux ont perdu la tête. La sortie a causé assez de remous pour traîner le groupe devant la justice avec des organisations catholiques locales.
It actually went to court. I'm not entirely sure how they pulled it off, but the case got dismissed. Local religious zealots 0, thrash metal 1. It's wild that playing fast music can still get you dragged in front of a judge, but here we are. It's messy, it's confrontational, and it makes you realize that real underground metal still has some teeth left. They aren't trying to be subtle.
C'est allé devant le tribunal. Je ne sais pas trop comment ils s'en sont sortis, mais l'affaire a été classée. Zélotes religieux locaux 0, thrash metal 1. C'est fou que jouer de la musique rapide puisse encore vous traîner devant un juge, mais nous y voilà. C'est brouillon, conflictuel, et ça rappelle que le vrai metal underground a encore des dents. Ils n'essaient pas d'être subtils.
