Look, I'll be honest. I usually roll my eyes when a band gets tagged as "cinematic." It usually just means they bought an expensive synth plug-in. But Sweden's Sins of Infirmity actually make the tag stick on this eight-track debut. It dropped May 14, and it is a self-released piece of pure gothic romance and post-punk grit.

They started as a duo back in 2021 with Mike and Cecilia, doing covers of The Misfits, HIM, and The Sisters of Mercy. Good covers, too. They caught some serious underground attention with them. Then they dropped a single called "I Will Follow You" in late 2024. It was cool, but things got weird, in a good way, when Belinda stepped in on vocals in 2025.

Ils ont commencé comme duo en 2021 avec Mike et Cecilia, reprenant The Misfits, HIM et The Sisters of Mercy. De bonnes reprises, d'ailleurs. Ils ont attiré une sérieuse attention underground grâce à elles. Puis ils ont sorti un single intitulé « I Will Follow You » fin 2024. C'était cool, mais les choses ont pris une tournure étrange, dans le bon sens, quand Belinda a pris le micro en 2025.

Her debut on "Sweet Temptation" changed the whole vibe. Suddenly we're dealing with this heavy, vampiric storytelling, lust, and fragility. It's dark. It's seductive. "The Meeting" followed a month later, and honestly, it's just excellent nocturnal confrontation stuff. Mike handles the music, Belinda does the words, and they just click. I don't know, there's a weird tension there that works. The flesh decays, the shadows speak, you get the drill. It feels human.

Ses débuts sur « Sweet Temptation » ont changé toute l'ambiance. On a soudain affaire à cette narration lourde et vampirique, au désir et à la fragilité. C'est sombre. C'est séduisant. « The Meeting » a suivi un mois plus tard, et honnêtement, c'est juste une excellente confrontation nocturne. Mike s'occupe de la musique, Belinda des paroles, et le courant passe. Je ne sais pas, il y a une tension étrange qui fonctionne. La chair se décompose, les ombres parlent, vous voyez le tableau. C'est humain.
