Beriedir - "Liminal Spaces"

What's New: Beriedir

Now Available! "Liminal Spaces" is the new album by Beriedir.

You know what? You may listen to Beriedir's much awaited third studio album, "Liminal Spaces," which was released on January 10th by the fantastic people at Rockshots Records!

"Liminal Spaces" is about taking risks with a progressive and experimental edge, so bid the traditional power metal vibes farewell. This album delves deeply into themes such as melancholy, longing, nostalgia, and yes, the sensation of complete isolation. It's more than just music. You'll sense it in every note and lyric, I promise.

"It's okay to bask in memories, we're not alone in our burnouts, weird dreams can (and do) affect us, and it's entirely possible to relapse into the same old sorrows," the band says, perfectly encapsulating this emotion. Sometimes all we need is a song to help us through this. Liminal Spaces is what this is. Isn't it the ideal tiny pearl of wisdom?

"Halo," the album's first track, greets you with its straightforward manner until "Neon" takes over and ushers us into the album's core. It's a neck-breaker, so hold on to your head (literally!) during "As Tight As Phantoms Hold"'s "kyrie eleison" part! The profoundly reflective vibes of "F.I.V.E." will engross you while you headbang and reflect on life.

Prepare yourself for the delicacy of "More Than Starlight," which is romantic and expansive, akin to a warm hug after a long day, as we move on to the album's second act. Not to be overlooked, though, is "Burnout"—that song really gets to you and makes you realize what it's really like to be on the edge. And the polyrhythmic, fading heartbeat of it all will make you want to lose yourself. As the "in your face" songs "Massive" and "Anemoia" transport you back to the untamed depths of human passion, the mood changes.

The closer "In The Liminal Space" takes you into that unsettling area where you know you don't belong, just when you believe the voyage is ended. The cherry on top, though, is a lovely outro melody that is played on the vintage guitar and fades just right, leaving you wanting more. Take a moment to appreciate those stirring lyrics; they are all filled with reflective ideas and are presented poetically.

People, don't miss out! You will want to explore this fresh chapter in Beriedir's story.

The adventure of Beriedir began in 2015 when frontman Stefano Nüsperli made his idea a reality with their debut demo, The Line. Since then, they've taken off, sharing the stage with icons like Korpiklaani and Pathfinder and performing at major events like the 2016 Fosch Fest. Their progressive power metal roots have grown into a modern progressive sound that envelops you in a cozy, gloomy embrace.

When their album AQVA was published in 2020, it was greeted with overwhelmingly positive reviews—people truly adored it! And they've established a solid reputation for themselves thanks to their incredible collaborations and abundance of live performances. They even offered us an amazing rendition of Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary" just last year, demonstrating their constant desire for innovation.
