Was blasting Painkiller for the 50th time this month and fuck me sideways! AUSTRALIA’S GOT A NEW METAL BEAST. Fate's Hand's debut LP Steel, Fire and Ice sounds like someone fed early Judas Priest through a meat grinder at a Viking funeral. Eight tracks. Zero mercy.

J’étais en train de passer Painkiller pour la 50e fois ce mois-ci et merde alors ! L’AUSTRALIE A UN NOUVEAU MONSTRE MÉTAL. Le premier LP de Fate's Hand, Steel, Fire and Ice, sonne comme si quelqu’un avait passé les premiers Judas Priest dans un hachoir à viande lors d’un enterrement viking. Huit morceaux. Zéro pitié.

That opening riff? Pure fucking sword steel clanging. The vocals? Like King Diamond woke up in the Outback with a hangover and something to prove. And don't even get me started on the drumming, sounds like Thor himself is hammering away back there.

Ce riff d’ouverture ? Du pur acier d’épée qui résonne. Les voix ? Comme si King Diamond s’était réveillé dans le bush avec une gueule de bois et quelque chose à prouver. Et ne me lancez même pas sur la batterie, on dirait que Thor en personne martèle là-bas.

What's insane is these guys are veterans hiding in plain sight: members from StarGazer and Mongrels Cross decided "hey let's make TRAD METAL BUT MAKE IT E P I C" and thank Satan they did. Their 2021 EP was killer but this? This is next-level shit!

Ce qui est dingue, c’est que ces gars sont des vétérans cachés en pleine lumière : des membres de StarGazer et Mongrels Cross ont décidé 'hey, faisons du TRAD MÉTAL MAIS FAISONS-LE É P I Q U E' et merci Satan qu’ils l’aient fait. Leur EP de 2021 était excellent mais ça ? C’est du niveau supérieur !

Production's raw but polished in all the right places ; can practically smell the leather and sweat in the studio. No click tracks here, just the sound of five dudes who probably record between swigs of VB and fistfights.

La production est brute mais polie aux bons endroits ; on sent presque l’odeur du cuir et de la sueur dans le studio. Pas de pistes de clic ici, juste le son de cinq types qui enregistrent probablement entre des gorgées de VB et des bagarres.
