What's New: Invading Chapel
FORESHADOWED. DARK HITS FIRST.
Invading Chapel just dropped a new standalone track called “Foreshadowed”, out now. No label. No safety net. Just doom crawling out of the speakers and yeah, it sticks.
This is France, but the vibe? Heavy, gothic, slow-burning. Sabbath shadows all over the place, some Type O Negative melancholy bleeding through, Paradise Lost scars still open. Big riffs, thick bass, keys lurking in the back like ghosts you didn’t invite. Doom, but with feeling. Actual feeling.
The whole thing is driven by Loïc Malassagne doing almost everything himself: vocals, bass, guitars, keys, with Jim D on drums. Recorded, mixed, mastered in-house at Pleine Lune Studio. You can hear it. It’s intimate and heavy at the same time, like the walls are closing in but you kinda enjoy it. Weird thought, sorry.
The video is out too. Dark, obviously. Fits the song, no bullshit. I watched it twice without noticing. That’s usually a good sign.
This isn’t flashy metal.
It’s patient.
It waits. Then it lands.
Spin it loud, preferably at night. Trust me on this one.
Écoutez-le fort, de préférence la nuit. Faites-moi confiance sur celle-là.
